Well - Good Morning, America!

So it’s been about two weeks since Box of Books debuted on national television - or any television, for that matter. Wow! What an honor it is to be featured on Good Morning America!

Now cue Curator Kate being incredibly overwhelmed. I’m a micro business… meaning, it’s just me. I’ve only ever had a few hundred subscribers at any one time. I’m not going to lie- I’m writing this a few days before air date so I have no clue what I am in for at this moment. I might not be so micro at the time you’re reading this. Maybe I’m under my bed hiding from the chaos I’ve created, escaping into my current read like I don’t have a ton of work to do. Or maybe I am cozied up with my current read while crying into my pillow because the whole thing was a bust. Who knows what the future holds?!

It was a bust. 😞 I cried. Turns out it was a bait and switch from the marketing company that works for a third party I sell my subscriptions on. Why they mislead me, I don’t know. The unnecessary deception crushed me. But, I’ve picked myself up by my bootstraps and will overcome some of the hurdles I know have in front of me. Hard lesson learned for this bookworm.

I was still fortunate enough to be on Good Morning America’s website, in a Right Stuff article for Mother’s Day gift ideas. But it was only aired on a streaming news station, not national tv.
